naviHealth a UnitedHealth Group company is looking for a Lead
Application Data Engineer with experience building and improving
mission-critical service-oriented applications. This role is a key
contributor to the organization and future technologies.
Successful candidates will possess proven experience developing and
delivering quality solutions incorporating sound database and
software design principles. Moreover, have a genuine passion and
energy to grow within a fast-paced and fun environment, using the
latest technologies in alignment with the company's technical
vision and strategy.
You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within
the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. Brentwood, TN
preferred.
Primary Responsibilities:
Design, develop, document, test, and debug database structures for
new and existing products (cloud and/or in-house)
Serve as a technical expert on database design and best
practices
Participate in full development life cycle including requirements
analysis and design
Write technical specifications based on conceptual design and
stated business requirements
Support, maintain, and document database functionality
Identify and evaluate new technologies and techniques for
implementation
Analyze database/application code and structures to find causes of
errors and provide guidance on necessary remediations
Analyze code to identify areas of improvement for database
performance
Participate in design meetings and analyze needs to determine
technical requirements
Contribute to team growth by providing advice, mentoring, and
coaching to other engineers with positivity and enthusiasm
Identify opportunities for process improvement and effectively
present them to decision-makers
Work with other teams to ensure best principles and practices are
followed
Perform other duties and responsibilities as required, assigned, or
requested

Required Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree or equivalent related work experience
7+ years of relevant work experience in database design/software
development
Experience designing, developing, and delivering databases at an
enterprise scale
Experience mentoring other developers in the best practices for
Database Development
Experience within a CI/CD environment
Experience building/delivering performant, scalable, and flexible
software solutions
Experience documenting technology-based solutions
Experience in an Agile environment
Experience working both independently and, in a team oriented
collaborative environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Healthcare experience
Microsoft .NET, .NET Core, and C#
Microsoft Transact SQL
Apache Kafka, or similar data streaming platforms
Hybrid mobile JavaScript frameworks
Container based development/deployment

for Colorado residents is $97,300 to $176,900. The salary range for
Connecticut / Nevada residents is $97,300 to $176,900. Pay is based
on several factors including but not limited to education, work
experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary,
