You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within
the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.
Primary Responsibilities:
Lead the architecture team to bring a highly differentiated,
scalable, and secure product to the market
Work directly with VP Engineering, and Enterprise Architect to
provide technology vision, build technical roadmaps, and create a
best-in-class engineering stack
Mentor the tech leads, collaborate with the DevSecOps group, and
brainstorm with Security, Performance, and DB Engineers to build
the best processes for high-quality deliverables
Act as the liaison between Business and Developers and project
management groups
Define, use and communicate design patterns and best practices
Participation in Design reviews, Test Case reviews, and Production
Support readiness reviews for new releases, provide inputs for
Go/No-Go decision
This position is a mix of hands-on and technical leadership. You
will: Deep dive into the current design
Help refactor some key modules to make them more scalable
Mature the journey to microservices across key modules which serve
thousands of patients on a daily basis

Required Qualifications:
12+ years of experience across various tech stacks
(Java/Python/Node/AWS/GCP)
10+ years of expertise in Java and Spring F/W (Spring Boot, Spring
Security, Spring ORM, Spring Rest, Spring Cloud)
8+ years of experience working with SQL databases and ability to
write advanced, performant SQL queries
6+ years of solid experience on NoSQL databases like MongoDB,
Cassandra, Elasticsearch, etc., and caching solutions like Redis,
Memcache, etc.
6+ years of experience with asynchronous data pipelines using Kafka
or AWS SNS/SQS or similar modern messaging framework
5+ years of hands-on experience with infrastructure and cloud,
Containerization, Microservices, Kubernetes, etc.
Experience in migrating a SaaS-based Monolith to a
Microservice-based architecture
Experience in working in an onshore/offshore model and managing
major programs/multiple projects
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
Knowledge of the US Healthcare domain

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range
for Colorado residents is $82,100 to $146,900. The salary range for
Connecticut / Nevada residents is $90,500 to $161,600. Pay is based
on several factors including but not limited to education, work
experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary,
UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive
