Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process.Pratt & Whitney Control & Diagnostic Systems (CDS) is looking for a Systems/Software engineer to support the APU/Turbojets Business of Military Engines based out of West Palm Beach, Florida.Control & Diagnostic Systems (CDS) is a dynamic engineering organization focused on the development and certification of military, commercial and industrial gas turbine engine control and diagnostic systems. CDS is responsible for all aspects of Pratt & Whitney engine control and diagnostic system development including: requirements analysis & definition, system & software architecture, algorithm design, and product software design, verification & validation. We integrate the control and diagnostic system design across other engine system modules and with the air vehicles and provide support throughout the complete engine product life cycle.Key ResponsibilitiesYou will need to work across a wide range of production and development APU programsExercise an understanding of control system parts for fuel, lube, air, and actuation system components, such as pumps, valves, sensors, fuel test benches, electronic controllers (FADECs), ignition systems, starters, generators, electrical harnesses, sensors, electronic parts (resistors, capacitors, inductors, MOSFETS, transformers, etc.), and electronic test benchesSupport of PW APU Controls Systems Engineering team and APU Chief Engineers Office in operations/production build, supply chain, engine test, field investigations and APU fuel control labCoordinate with PW engineering groups, Collins Aerospace, and other suppliers for engineering changes, quality notification (QN) dispositions, and Supplier Requests for Information (SRI) responseThis position will require day to day interface with engineering, operations, production, supply chain, program management, customers, and other disciplinesSupport component redesigns, including design reviewsAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and hierarchy definitionsAbility to understand component Industry drawings, standards, test specifications, including MIL Standards, FAA Documents, and customer specificationData collection and presentation skills to share information from findings and investigations and facilitate open communication across a variety level of external and internal customersYou will exercise daily proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Access database, Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and the following:Requirements Management (DOORS, CSRD, )Matlab/SimulinkCADA (Read old ADA code and create new C code)DO-178CObject Oriented Design / Model Based Code GenerationEmulation Environment ExperienceSoftware Test Scripting (STP, STR)Visual Basic / Visual StudioBasic Qualifications:BS Degree in Engineering with 8+ years of related work experience, OR an Advanced Degree in Engineering with 5+ years related work experienceU.S. Citizens due to program requirementsActive security clearancePreferred QualificationsYou will have a demonstrated history of expert or mastery level knowledge of work area, typically obtained through advanced education combined with experienceYou will harbor substantial knowledge of UTC projects, programs and/or systems in an effort to provide enhancements within roleRaytheon Technologies is An Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
