Work you'll do:

As a Senior Consultant within our R&WB team you will:

* Participate in and/or lead the development of deliverable content that meets the needs of the client and contract
* Anticipate client needs and formulate solutions to client issues
* Review deliverables for accuracy and quality
* Provide coaching to junior staff
* Contribute to new business proposals and proposal development
* Manage own personal and professional development; seeks opportunities for professional growth and expansion of consulting skills and experiences

Our practitioners help government leaders make informed decisions on price optimization, management of risk and resources, reduction of operational costs, and design of compensation and rewards programs that drive high performance and addresses critical organizational challenges.

Qualifications Required:

* Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Economics, Statistics or another business-related field
* 5+ years of relevant consulting or industry experience
* Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation creation tools, as well as Internet research tools
* Experience identifying and validating pension plan data
* Experience performing pension plan calculations
* Attained or working towards attaining actuarial credentials such as ASA, EA, or FSA Must be able to obtain and maintain required clearance for this role
* Must be able to obtain and maintain required clearance for this role
* Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
* Willingness to travel at least 50%

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience with public sector pension plans, OPEB
* Python experience used in hands-on day to day work
* Experience working on multiemployer pension plan data and/or familiarity with multiemployer pension plans
* Ability to support consultations on pension plan administration leading practices, including process and operational efficiencies
* Experience working independently with minimal supervision and guidance
* Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with experience exercising mature judgment
* Proven experience effectively prioritizing workload to meet deadlines and work objectives
* Demonstrated ability to write clearly, succinctly, and in a manner that appeals to a wide audience

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $93k to $155k. You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
