Associate Immigration Attorney The Law Office of Angel F. LEAL JR., P. A is seeking a full-time Associate Immigration Attorney in Doral, Florida (33172) About the Role: The job of an immigration lawyer is to provide pragmatic and strategic legal advice on immigration in MIAMI. Immigration attorneys are primarily associated with the responsibility of assisting their clients on complex issues with regard to settling down as citizens of the USA Primary Responsibilities: Helping clients complete visa applications or other government forms Assisting clients with issues related to citizenship, including naturalization applications Representing clients in immigration court proceedings and other legal proceedings related to immigration status Providing legal representation for individuals facing deportation or removal from the United States Assisting non-citizens with issues related to family-based petitions Advocating for clients in front of immigration judges or other government officials to help them obtain legal status in the US Reviewing clients' records to identify any errors that may have occurred during previous applications or proceedings Job Qualifications An attorney with 2+ years of immigration law experience including family petitions, VAWA, asylum, consular process, waiver practice, and strong removal defense. We also seek recently admitted attorneys willing to learn and practice immigration law. Fluency in Spanish and English Excellent legal, writing, and analytical skills are required. Candidate must possess strong organizational and case management skills Must be a team player, command strong client communication skills, and be able to work in a fast-paced high-volume environment. The ideal candidate would be barred in the state of Florida with exposure to family law practice, but it is not required Benefits Health Insurance - Health insurance for our employees covers 60% of the employee premium. Paid Time Off - New hires will receive 4 days of PTO. Employees can use 2 days of granted PTO leave beginning on the 90th day of employment, and 2 additional days after the 180th day of work. In addition, we have 6 holidays during the year. Bonus: - $ 50,00 for each contract opened & 20% of initial retainer of cases brought to firm.
