Job Summary:

Harvard HR compliance is accountable for the identification, prevention, monitoring and, mitigation of human resources risk.  The Senior HR Compliance Analyst is responsible for leading company-wide HR compliance programs, which include, but are not limited to, unemployment, leave administration, worker opportunity tax credits (WOTC), and I-9 compliance.

The ideal candidate is a well-rounded HR professional that can work through others to keep HR systems, processes, policies, and practices compliant with federal, state, and local laws and company guidelines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Serve as subject matter expert to HR team and the Company on worker opportunity tax credits, unemployment program, I-9 and E-Verify compliance, employment verifications, and leave administration

Track and analyze monthly HR Compliance KPIs and develop / implement continuous process improvements to meet or exceed annual performance targets

Monitor changes in federal, state, and local legislation and lead implementation of processes, policies, and practices to ensure compliance and maintain annual calendar of required changes

Ensure appropriate internal communication within the HR and across the organization matrix on all compliance-related topics

Document, standardize, and communicate HR processes tied to compliance programs

Manage vendor relationships to ensure Company needs are met as cost-effectively as possible

Partner with General Counsel / Legal team and other internal stakeholders on implementation of organizational changes

HR lead for maintaining internal compliance site

Develop and present business cases for changes that will drive efficiency and/or mitigate compliance risk

Manage administration and process flows for all LOA and Disability programs

Manage administration of labor law posters

File EEOC reports annually

Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned

Knowledge and Skill Requirements Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field

7 years of progressive Human Resources experience with a minimum of 3 years hands-on leave administration and vendor management

Intermediate-level expertise in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word is required

Good instincts that are grounded with a strong understanding of employment law, HR policies, processes, and best practices as well as a passion for enterprise-wide HR compliance practices

Strong interpersonal and communication skills at multiple levels of an organization

Strong business acumen, problem-solving skills, and continuous improvement mindset

Ability to organize and analyze data to identify patterns and trends, produce insights, asses s risk, identify solutions, and drive continuous improvement
