Description:

The Patient Care Technician provides direct or indirect patient care as determined or delegated by the Registered Nurse. Examples of this care are activities of daily living, baths, linen change, answering call lights, taking vital signs.

Qualifications

Required Education/Licensing:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year of higher education High school diploma or GED required.
• One year of higher education or equivalent preferred.
  Speciality training as a nurse s assistant, and/or medical assistant desirable.
• Maintains current BLS card and obtains CPI certification within first 90 days of employment.
• Has ability to follow English written and verbal instructions in order to accept directions from co-workers and speak with patients.
• Fundamental mathematics.
