Join the Courtyard Animal Hospital team! We are an established, small animal veterinary hospital in Wellington that is searching for the perfect Veterinary Technician. We are looking to add someone to our experienced team that will enjoy a gratifying, stable career as we service the wonderful pets and pet-parents in the Western Communities. Our patients typically include dogs, cats and pocket pets. Remember, every pet has at least one parent with them and people skills are as important as being able to get along with our beloved pets. There is no greater thrill or joy than helping that ill patient recover and go home tail wagging. And don't ever forget "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure." This is a part time position with some weekend work. Minimum of 1 year veterinary technician experience! Drug Free Workplace. Necessary skills include in-hospital lab work (fecal, urinalysis sediment, ear cytology, etc...) catheter placement, phlebotomy, restraint, dental care, dental radiology, and anesthesia monitoring. Must have initiative/self-motivation, organization, ability to multitask, and excellent customer service skills. Must be able to lift 45 lbs dead weight. This job does require you to possess motivation, intelligence and enthusiasm to learn from and retain what you experience. We all pitch in where needed so we can provide top-notch care.
