Job Description:

Position Summary: Manages the administrative duties relative to medical leaves of absences for employers located in multiple states. Effectively coordinates all leaves to include comprehensive case management and compliance with all applicable federal and state leave laws. Performs exemplary customer service and supports the Compliance department and human resources team with leave-related questions and issues. Key Responsibilities: --- Coordinate and administer all company leaves of absence, to include but not limited to FMLA, NON-FMLA, personal leave, military leave, workers compensation etc.--- Serve as the subject matter expert and primary point of contact for Company leaves of absence and manage all leave inquiries, educating associates and managers on the leave process and related policies.--- Interprets and administers leave programs and policies in accordance with the applicable federal and state employment laws (FMLA, ADA, USERRA, Pregnancy Discrimination Act, etc.).--- Ensures that the workers compensation program is managed in accordance with applicable OSHA and workers compensation laws.--- Coordinate return to work and accommodation requests.--- Intake of leave requests, sending required notices, forms and letters, and determining leave eligibility.--- Create and maintain complete and accurate leave files.--- Ensure proper time keeping for associates out on a leave of absence, as well as proper payment while on leave, to include management of short-term disability (state and company paid), and transition to long term disability.--- Troubleshooting and investigating problems and gathering information to assist HR administrators in making decisions, such as potential fraudulent leave activity, moon lighting, etc.--- Other duties as assigned. Requirements: --- 2 years HR or Leave Administration experience--- Bachelor's Degree--- Bilingual English - Spanish (Fluent Spoken/Written Preferred)--- Microsoft Office: Word, Outlook, Excel Proficient--- Associates degree in human resources, business or a related field or relevant HR experience, or any similar combination of education and experience. Previous exposure or experience in leave of absence administration. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: --- Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat)--- Knowledge of Federal and State leave laws and previous working experience--- Must be able to communicate professionally in an effective, efficient, and meaningful manner--- Must use logic and reasoning to make immediate decisions under pressure or tight deadlines--- Working knowledge of computers and basic office equipment--- Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality of critical and sensitive information, records, and reports.--- Understand, interpret, and apply general administrative and departmental policies and procedures--- Work under steady pressure with frequent interruptions--- Read, understand, and review documents for accuracy and relevant information--- Ability to apply strong written communication skills for correspondence, reports, and other company materials--- Strong oral communication skills--- Consistency in meeting deadlines--- Ability to work with a diverse group of people--- Strong administration and organization skills--- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
