Job Description:

The Global Sr Director for Burger King Product innovation is responsible for setting the product guidelines, guardrails and global standards, leading core quality improvements for our flagship products around the world and developing innovative solutions for menu in international regions. The position will also develop strategic assessments for products, manage the product category against operating plans and budgets, identify and support development on new category trends and champion food innovation through the organization. The position works with other functions within the organization including: Insights, Core Sustainability , Operations, QA & Food Safety and Regional Innovation teams.

Responsibilities:

Core Food Quality Research & Development

  • Support product improvement development from ideation, taste tests to commercialization
  • Develop specifications and process to ensure products are executed at the store level
  • Ensure products deliver are delivering exception taste and quality to match guest experience
  • Manage portfolio of vendors and partners that support product development
  • Facilitate transition to better sustainability practices eg. remove ingredients from artificial sources, antibiotics, etc

Training & Capabilities

  • Train franchisee partners into product gold standards, culinary beliefs, innovation methodology
  • Manage global product portfolio and identify opportunities to improve; Supporting the regional marketing plans
  • Support category through development of new platforms and global food trends

Project Management & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with multiple global partners to ideate, co-develop and commercialize platforms and products
  • Manage portfolio of projects to deliver against business objects through strong action plans
  • Manage research process

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 8+ years of professional experience
  • Preferred experience in Food, R&D or related field
  • Preferred experience in QSR/Retail or related industry
