National Accounts Sales Manager, Florida

Job Description:

BASIC FUNCTION

Achieve sales results expected for key national and regional restaurant chains ("assigned customers") and geography. Build relationships in order to ensure attainment of Sabert's long term goals and objectives relative to sales growth and new product introductions with the assigned customers and the geography.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Business development and sales activities
  • Achieve revenue growth and profitability goals for the assigned customers and geography
  • Manage the sales, customer support and service issues for assigned customers; serve as the primary Sabert contact for all business needs
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships by identifying and implementing initiatives to add value for the assigned customers
  • Prepare and implement annual business plans for each key existing and targeted customer
  • Champion customer and market needs internally at Sabert
  • Develop proposals and drive customer specific custom product initiatives
  • Implement price increases and pricing improvement as appropriate
  • Develop new business via identifying and developing new customers in the geography
  • Administrative activities
  • Provide accurate forecasts for volumes and revenue
  • Maintain and update appropriate databases and sales support systems relative to account activity, pricing, new product development, etc.
  • Provide written and verbal updates on sales activity and competitive activity in the geography
  • General
  • Handle other projects and/or initiatives as needed

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITIES

  • A deep understanding of the chain restaurant business and the customer's needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to navigate through complex and at time difficult selling situations
  • Persuasive style with demonstrated strong "closing" skills with the added ability to build long term customer relationships
  • Proactive work style with the energy and passion for results and the desire to make a difference
  • Highly motivated; a self starter
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Strong project management and project coordination skills
  • Strong verbal and written presentation skills
  • Computer Literate-Word, Excel & PowerPoint

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors degree in an appropriate field - business, marketing, culinary school, foodservice management or packaging
  • 7+ years of sales experience with a minimum of 2+ years selling to National Accounts and regional restaurant chains
  • Sales experience with Foodservice distributors
  • Sales experience with foodservice disposables and/or packaging preferred
