Job Title : Technical Product Owner

Location: Cincinnati, OH or Remote

Full-time, exempt

Summary:

This position will work closely with a designated Product Director and stakeholder teams across the organization to prioritize and bring product roadmap initiatives from idea-to-launch which improve the value proposition of defined products for our clients, customers, and patients. The role will be responsible for understanding the business, driving forward priorities for the most important projects within a defined area to impact the business and achieve expected results. Central to the role is responsibility for translating projects into specific requirements, including stories and acceptance criteria, for execution by engineering across multiple stakeholder teams. Lastly, the role will support technical components of the go-to-market strategy, including training key stakeholders and providing internal documentation to help other teams craft customer facing materials.

Essential Functions

  • Requirements gathering, documentation and support for delivery teams.
  • Align on requirements for any given project with key stakeholders
  • Based on input and guidance from the Product Director, m ake scope and requirement trade-offs as needed to deliver project on a committed date
  • Support product team to deliver recommendations on user experience, workflow, visual design, etc. for any given product enhancement or capability
  • Document business and technical requirements for development team to ensure product development goals are feasible and understood
  • Roadmap implementation
  • Own and ma intain product backlog to deliver against product roadmap
  • Understand product vision and the incremental steps needed to achieve the vision over time
  • Make recommendations on prioritization within that roadmap to maintain momentum and enhance value proposition
  • Align with key stakeholders on success criteria and recommended priorities
  • Utilize in-depth knowledge and skills across multiple product areas to provide technical oversight across systems and applications
  • Demonstrated experience leading process optimization initiatives and/or process improvement skillsets
  • Rollout and successful feature/functionality launch
  • Create cadence and process to measure success criteria after a n enhancement/ or capability is launched
  • Support formulation of strategies and planning for applications development, release planning, and delivery to production
  • Ensure essential procedures are followed to maintain compliance with all relevant requirements, and reduce risk in technology deployment


REQUIRED SKILLS
  • 6+ years of software product ownership experience with at least 3 years working in agile environments.
  • 1-3 years experience with analytics and data products
  • 1-3 years experience working on software and application development teams
  • Strong technical abilities - you can hold your own in debates with technical managers and engineers.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously - you are self-directed and able to solve business issues in your defined product area and make decisions about and prioritize your own work.

Required Education and Experience

  • BA/BS
  • Minimum 2 years experience with technical product management


Preferred Education and Experience

  • Degree in Computer Science, Business, or other related Engineering field
  • 1-3 years proven experience working with advertising technology or Healthcare technology (i.e., EHR) preferred.
