others are Strategy and Consulting, Interactive and Technology.
The Operations Account Specialist, Energy (i.e. Energy Client
Account Specialist) is responsible for learning all client
management activities, such as maintaining current business
relationships, managing the client renewal process, ensuring
delivery matches contract scope, managing business development,
account development, customer satisfaction, client relationships,
managing internal Accenture communication (e.g. finance, Client
Account Leadership) and overall account strategies. The goal of the
Energy Client Account Specialist is to learn how to maintain the
overall managed-services relationship and drive enhanced customer
engagements via managing delivery requirements and upselling.
Learning how to manage executive relationships and negotiating high
risk situations will be an everyday challenge in this position.
As an Energy Client Account Specialist you will be supported by the
Operations Account Manager as you propose, manage and execute on
customer contracts in order to achieve business goals. To achieve
these goals successfully, you will make decisions regarding the
development and maintenance of client and partner relationships,
work closely with the sales, delivery and internal Accenture
account teams in order to create and deliver a successful energy
services engagement and leverage service offerings to address
customer business needs. In order to understand the client business
objectives and deliver services engagements, you will interface
intimately with the client at all levels of the organization. In
addition, you will actively participate in and lead account
strategy and planning sessions with Accenture teams, which will
include individuals from legal, sales and delivery. You will
deliver weekly updates and customer feedback on trends,
opportunities and challenges in order to benchmark and maintain
delivery goals of your client portfolio. You will be expected to
maintain an accurate accounting of your pipeline and will be
accountable for managing your business on a quarterly basis.
An Energy Client Account Specialist must demonstrate capability and
expertise in business development and business management skills.
They should demonstrate capability in conflict and negotiation
management. Growing experience in the energy industry is essential
to success. This individual must be able to understand and
articulate Accenture's Active Energy Management program and vision
to a variety of audiences. Knowledge of energy supply (regulated
and deregulated), energy data management, and demand side solutions
is critical to success but not required.
With support of Operations Account Manager, begin to develop skills
to complete the following activities:
- Maintain complex/global client engagements
- Transition client from sales to delivery
- Set communication cadence & manage the communication flow with
- Ensure delivery team has prioritized the correct work
- Monitor & measure delivery of business results, and achievement
of the program
- Address new service opportunities with the client
- Coordinate approvals for contingency plans and scope
- Manage the contract renewal process
- Communicate the program performance to client
- Provide account margin oversight
- Create margin improvement plans where needed
- Follow-up on AP issues directly with client & Accenture
- Internal communication with Client Account Leads (CALs), CFM,
- Develop ravings fans/trusted advisors leading to referable
Here's what you need:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 3 years working experience in either energy
management, client/project management, high-end professional
services business development/delivery
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as Accenture Junior Account
Executive, mastering client engagements, and maintaining client
financials, renewals and upsells.
- Project management experience in a corporate and/or
professional services environment
- Excellent communication, organization/time management and
- Data cleansing and management experience
- Strong customer relationship management skills
- Adaptable management style to conform to the varied corporate
cultures and organizational structures of our customers
As required by Colorado law under the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act,
Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles
that may be hired in Colorado. Actual compensation is influenced by
a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set,
level of experience, and specific office location. For the state of
Colorado only, the range of starting pay for this role is $56,484 -
$129,800 and information on benefits offered is here.
