*Advocate Program, Inc. Overview*Advocate Program, Inc. is a multi-faceted community agency whose mission is to facilitate social change and enhance public safety through leadership, research, education, supervision, and services, utilizing best and evidence-based practices.The Advocate Program, Inc. is a private, not-for-profit, 501 c (3) justice agency that offers probation, diversion, community service, DUI and traffic programs, domestic violence programs, substance abuse and mental health evaluations and treatment to court-ordered individuals. It has expanded to work with juveniles and families in the juvenile justice field, families impacted by family conflict and violence, and homeless veterans and their families.*Responsibilities: ** Receives cases assigned by Sr. Child Family Specialist and schedules home visits with families for intake and assessments.* Collects pre and post data on families.* Carry clinical case load, providing in home parenting and mental health consultation, as part of a team with a care coordinator.* Works effectively as team member and provides consultation to service providers and court staff.* Attends staff meetings, conferences, and workshops regularly to upgrade professional skills.* Attends staff meetings, conferences, and workshops regularly to upgrade professional skills.* Maintain filing system for all cases.* Conducts weekly home visits/face to face contacts with family members.* Provide support to families in the area needs i.e., parenting, conflict resolution skills and child behavior management skills.* Participate in group supervision/case conferencing and scheduled individual supervision weekly* Miscellaneous Sr Child Family Specialist*Skills/Qualifications: ** *Masters degree in social work, psychology, human services or related field.* *(REQUIRED)** Minimum of two years working with children, youth and families in community and home based settings.* Excellent written and oral communications skills* *Bilingual English/Spanish and or English/ Creole required.** Strong commitment to the prevention of juvenile delinquency.* Strong commitment to working with families from their strengths and protective factors.* Experience working with children of high conflict families and domestic violence.* Excellent clinical assessment skills.* Ability to work independently.* Strong computer skills (Microsoft, word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook).Job Type: Full-timePay: $50,000.00 per yearBenefits:* 401(k)* Dental insurance* Employee assistance program* Health insurance* Life insurance* Paid time off* Professional development assistance* Vision insuranceSchedule:* 8 hour shift* Day shift* Monday to Friday* Night shift* Weekend availabilityAbility to commute/relocate:* Miami, FL: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)Language:* Bilingual (Preferred)License/Certification:* Driver's License (Preferred)Willingness to travel:* 25% (Preferred)Work Location: One location
