currently seeking a part time Research Associate 2 to work at JMH -
Lynn Rehabilitation Center in Miami. The incumbent supports
research activities under the direction of a principle
investigator, program director or designee of the principle
investigator or program director. Core Job Functions 1. Understand
and interpret research protocols, strictly following detailed
procedures for research-related assessments and interventions. 2.
Recruit, screen, interview, assess, and evaluate participants for
study eligibility. 3. Coordinate recruitment, scheduling, and
follow-up of study participants with the research team. 4.
Administer questionnaires, sensory testing measures, and other
assessments per protocol as assigned. 5. Collect, organize, and
enter data from research studies 6. Assist with organizing and
scheduling educational programs for research participants. 7.
Establish and maintain rapport with participants and family to
facilitate retention throughout the study. 8. Use sound judgement
in the management of research tasks to appropriately prioritize
meeting study benchmarks, research-related goals, and deadlines. 9.
Exhibit the utmost integrity in the performance of research duties;
consult with the PI when procedural deviations may occur. 10.
Ensure compliance with the Informed Consent/Assent/HIPPA process,
with accurate completion and documentation. 11. Assist with keeping
staff and faculty on studies aware of certification and training
requirements. 12. Display vigilance in record keeping with regards
to recruitment efforts, participant enrollment, requests for
subject reimbursement, participant progress throughout the study,
adverse events, protocol deviations, and other processes as
requested. 13. Assist with keeping study records, participant
information, and all source documents and data collection forms
well-organized and secure. 14. Providessupport for IRB processes
(e.g., abiding by requirement for reporting safety or study
deviations, initiating modifications to study procedures, and
submitting annual reports) 15. Assist PI and co-investigators with
summary reports and provide presentation support. 16. Identify and
assist in overcoming barriers to efficiency in performing high
quality research. 17. Comply with all required trainings and strive
to excel in performance of all job duties. 18. Take an active role
in advancing expertise through additional training and education as
appropriate. 19. Participates in assigned training sessions and
workshops. 20. Adheres to University and unit-level policies and
procedures and safeguards University assets. 21. Perform other
duties as assigned Department Specific Functions 1. Contributes to
basic and applied research activities by collecting and analyzing
data, maintaining databases, etc.2. Understands and interprets
research protocols and procedures.3. Participates in the
publication of significant results.4. Advances expertise through
continued education, training and/or research.5. Maintains an
overview of relevant research findings.6. Ensures all research is
undertaken according to good research practice and guidance. CORE
QUALIFICATIONS Education:Bachelor's Degree in relevant field
Experience: --- At least 1 year of previous work experience in
human subjects research--- Advanced computer literacy and skills,
