IT Solutions ArchitectFyffes North America is currently seeking
an experienced IT Solutions Architect to join our team in Coral

tropical fruits.Job Summary:The IT Solutions Architect at Fyffes NA
leads the design effort on a variety of projects related to systems
and integrations, in a highly collaborative and technical
environment. The main purpose of the role is to design and work on
innovative solutions to real business problems, as part of the
systems development team. The IT Solutions Architect works closely
with product management and other software engineers to develop new
product offerings and improve existing ones. The role is key to
ensure that all development projects are aligned with the company's
software architecture.The incumbent will set guiding principles,
procedures, and processes for software development within the
organization, at an enterprise level. This includes, but is not
limited to performance, scalability, coding, caching, security,
encryption, error logging and testing.The position requires both
business / processes skills as well as technical IT knowledge. The
position entails managing multiple and concurrent high-level tasks
in a fast-paced environment within established SLAs and
timelines.This position reports to the IT Director, Fyffes North
America.Duties and Responsibilities:Core duties and
responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be
assigned by management.Analyze current technologies used within the
company and determine ways to improve.Identify the appropriate
software architecture based on the requirements and design elements
contained in a system specification.Design, develop and maintain
3rd party integrations (e.g., EDI).Maintain and evolve software
architecture documents based on evolving system requirements and
industry trends and technologies.Support and enhance key
applications, systems and processes.Implement and maintain unit,
system, and integration tests.Implement all aspects of an
application design / development - high performance design, coding,
caching mechanisms, security, encryption, state management, error
logging, debugging, scalability, code reviews, documentation, and
testing.Analyze risk and report problems in meeting system
requirements.Provide supporting information to the Development Team
to aid in the creation of a system specification.Assist Software
Designer/Implementers with the creation of detailed software design
specifications.Coordinate the activities of the Development
team.Ensure all development projects are aligned with the company's
software architecture.Participate in business IT projects as
needed.Actively participate in the Scrum development team,
contributing to user story definition, goal alignment, testing, and
solution deployment.Serve as a proxy for the product owner within
the teams, facilitating alignment with business needs and
objectives.Position may require working extended hours, holidays,
and/or weekends as needed.Occasional travel within North America
may be required.Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree in
computer science, Engineering or a related field from an accredited
four-year institution or equivalent experience.7+ years of
experience designing and/or developing software, with some
combination of Java, Angular & SQL. Azure and or AWS desirable.7+
years of experience designing and/or developing in a
SOA/Microservices environment.Experience with Microservices
management, deployment, and administration.7+ years using SQL
server queries and programming.Experience with version control.
CVS, Github or others.Front-end and back-end design and development
experience.ERP experience, SAP preferable.Enterprise system
integration experience.Food, CPG, retail, and/or produce industry
experience preferred, but not required.Knowledge in Agile
methodology framework.Skills and Abilities:Good understanding of
business processes.Strong verbal and written English skills
required, Spanish skills a plus.Project management
