Responsibilities
BASIC PURPOSE: Responsible of designing the best possible user
experience, satisfaction, and conversion across RSSC's website and
mobile application. Partner with cross-functional teams at RSSC and
external partners to design, build, launch, and market new site
enhancements, booking capabilities and booked guest experience
options. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work closely with product managers and developers to create and
update production-quality designs for RSSC.com
- Design conceptual wireframes, high-fidelity mockups,
information architecture diagrams, interaction specifications, and
functional prototypes.
- Use business requirements, usability findings and market
research to develop scenarios, use cases, and high-level
requirements.
- Translate abstract concepts into simple and elegant user
interfaces.
- Present design work to the user experience team and product
team for review and feedback.
- Preform on multiple design explorations to arrive at a simple
but robust solution accounting for complex requirements.
- Manage ambiguity, work independently and collaboratively within
a team, and switch rapidly between different projects in an agile
environment.
- Collect and assess competitive Insights (merchandizing,
optimizations, new site/booking/ecommerce features).
- Partner with e-Commerce team in solving pain points for
users.
- Work closely with Testing, Analytics, Search, Redesign agency,
and broader marketing team to ensure consistency and max
performance.
- Focus on conversion, usability, overall experience across all
RSSC owned digital platforms.
- Partner with Legal, Privacy, and Compliance teams to ensure the
products we deliver are within regulatory boundaries.
- Proactively seek out content creation opportunities that would
enhance all RSSC digital channels.
- Perform other job-related functions as assigned. KNOWLEDGE AND
EXPERIENCE: EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Digital/Online
Marketing, eCommerce, UX, Digital Merchandising or related field of
study; or any equivalent combination of relevant education,
experience, and training. EXPERIENCE: 3-5 years of experience in an
eCommerce environment with a minimum of 2 years of years of design
experience. Experience with agile methodology. Experience in
leading initiatives to success through collaborating with
cross-functional teams and influencing others without direct
authority. KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: Must have a portfolio of work
demonstrating expertise and skill in creating user-centric digital
experiences for web and mobile business applications. Must be
skilled in InVision, XD, Sketch or other prototyping and mockup
tools. Strongly skilled with Photoshop/Illustrator and/or similar
art tools. Strong knowledge of online marketing fundamentals and
user experience best practices. Solid decision-making skills
sufficient to evaluate and decide on site content placement and
product merchandising opportunities. Experience with website
redesign projects and/or leading site optimization activities. Deep
understanding of e-Commerce analytics, KPI creation and
measurement, testing tools and landing page optimization. Strong
understanding of web design principles and usability practices, and
experience with application of such knowledge. Strong verbal and
written communication skills Interpersonal and business skills to
interact with all levels of team members effectively. Highly
detailed oriented with organizational and time management skills to
manage multiple projects simultaneously and to shift priorities
according to business needs. Ability to work effectively in a team
environment. Ability to persuade and convince others. Ability to
handle multiple assignments with tight deadlines and with little
margin of error. Proactively manage your own work queue, time, and
expectations, meet deadlines and communicate needs and trade-offs
if your schedule is in jeopardy. Understand target user through
user research and drive toward more collecting more data when
