Reports to: Director of Admissions & Enrollment Management
About SEED:
The mission of SEED schools is to prepare students academically,
socially, and emotionally, for success in and
beyond college in a public, college-prep, boarding school
setting.
Based on the success of the first two schools in The SEED School
network, one in Washington, D.C. and one in
Baltimore, Maryland, The SEED School of Miami has opened its doors
to 60 new students in the sixth grade as of
August 2014. At full scale, SEED Miami will grow to serve 320
students in grades 6-12, 100 percent of whom will
come from underserved communities across South Florida.
As outlined in Florida legislation, an eligible SEED Miami student
will be a Florida resident, eligible for the 6
th grade, will come from a family whose income is below 200 percent
of the federal poverty guidelines, and will meet
at least one of the below four additional risk factors:
---The child is served under the child welfare waiver
demonstration, (to include foster care) or has been
declared an adjudicated dependent by a court ---The student's head
of household is not the student's custodial parent ---The student
resides in a household that receives a housing voucher or has been
determined eligible for
public housing assistance
---A member of the student's immediate family has been
incarcerated
All students will live on campus between Sunday evening and Friday
afternoon and transportation will be provided
back and forth to home and school on the weekends.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
---Communicates the SEED mission, enrollment criteria, enrollment
process, and programmatic elements
with precision, depth, accuracy and passion.
---Serves as a representative of SEED conducting outreach across
the community, city, county and parts of
the state. Seek and build relationships with organizations that can
refer eligible students to SEED.
---Performs complex and confidential administrative functions for
the Director of Admissions &
Enrollment Management to include researching, compiling, preparing
and providing reports in
appropriate formats.
---Collects, collates, synthesizes and analyzes data on student
enrollment, demographics and retention.
---Organizes the office record keeping system and ensures
maintenance of admissions files, as needed and
required.
---Manages internal and external communications for the Admissions
Department, including but
not limited to responding to phone calls from interested families
within 24 hours and
screening of phone calls.
---Assists in the management of outreach efforts and the Director
of Admissions and Enrollment
Management's calendar.

---Available to attend home visits as needed, especially during
high season.
---Participates in and coordinates special projects and meetings,
as needed and requested.
---Maintains follow-up/reminder systems to ensure timely completion
of projects.
---Maintains confidentiality of all admissions related matters.
---Creates new and modifies current marketing materials as directed
by the Director of Admissions and
Enrollment Management.
---Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
---Must have a high level of interpersonal skills to handle
sensitive and confidential information. Position
continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy.
---Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all
levels of the organization, as well as
parents and community members.
---Work requires continual attention to detail in composing, typing
and proofing materials, establishing
priorities and meeting deadlines.
---Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with
demonstrated ability to efficiently and effectively
manage multiple competing tasks and demands.
---Must have the ability to manage complex issues creatively and
effectively.
---Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
---Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, which includes
evenings and weekends during high seasons.
Experience & Education:
---Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
---A minimum of two plus (2+) years working with children and
families in the community preferred.
---Previous experience with aggregating and synthesizing data.
Language Skill ---Bilingual in English and Spanish, or English and
Creole preferred.
