Job Description:

Macmillan Learning is looking for a Salesforce Business Analyst / Administrator who works as part of the Customer Engagement Solutions team identifying, designing and implementing business requirements that improve sales, marketing and customer service capabilities, and to deliver end user support of and integrated systems.This administrator's scope will include, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Community Cloud, Marketo and multiple system integrations to facilitate business processes.They will serve as as a technical expert on Salesforce projects with direct involvement in:

  • Developing business requirements, specifications, process flows, application design, application configuration, documentation and testing.
  • Design and implement solutions using standard configuration to meet requirements and adhere to established best practices.
  • Create and coordinate system changes including objects, fields, territory management, workflow rules, validation rules, and process builders. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
    • Work collaboratively with team members, implementation partner, other IT teams and/or business stakeholders to gather and confirm business requirements.
    • Translate business requirements into working solutions using a combination of Salesforce configuration, 3rd party tools and custom development.
    • Maintain solid business knowledge to facilitate problem solving and issue resolution.
    • Develop strong knowledge of the current Salesforce system and integrated systems troubleshoot issues and drive improvement.
    • Understand data structures, relationships, stored procedures/triggers, indexes and views.
    • Create (design, document, build) and manage (test, deploy) custom objects, fields, formulas, validation rules, workflow rules, approval processes, process builders, and other enhancements to Salesforce.
    • Assist with sprint and release management activities and participate in all deployments.
    • Recommend improvements to systems and processes based on observations of current behavior and / or error patterns."
    • Field incoming incident / problem tickets from end users to resolve application and software issues within Salesforce (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Wave Analytics).
    • Participate in test fixes and perform post-resolution follow-ups to ensure problems have been adequately resolved."
    • Embrace and support the Agile methodology as practiced by the Customer Engagement team.
    • Act as a resource for colleagues.
    • Embrace and support the company Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
      • Bachelor's Degree required
      • 2+ years' proven experience as a Business Analyst
      • 2+ years' demonstrated Salesforce Administration experience with technical implementation, day-to-day operations, and long-term support and maintenance, ideally on an enterprise implementation with integrated data flows and outbound processes
      • Strong quantitative and analytical skills with a passion for problem solving
      • Outstanding oral and written communication skills, including experience writing concise and relevant system documentation
      • Ability to conduct research into system issues and products and convey results & recommendations
      • Excellent organizational, listening and interpersonal skills with a keen attention to detail PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
        • Admin Certification highly preferred
        • Flexibility to meet continuously changing priorities and challenges
        • Strong customer-service orientation
        • A positive, "can do" attitude and willingness to jump in wherever needed
        • Motivated, energetic self-starter with the ability to maintain poise under pressure
        • High sense of urgency and goal orientation (thrives in a fast-paced environment)
        • Data analysis utilizing Excel and/or SQL
