Job Description:

Behavioral Science Research Institute (BSRI) is growing and we're looking for the right people to join our team! BSRI is a non-profit located in Coral Gables, Miami, Florida and specializes in research, evaluation, and capacity building. We use data to drive decision making in addressing social change related to public health and well-being. BSRI is known as a contributor to positive change in communities and systems through our research and evaluation role. BSRI is looking for a person who is motivated to use their knowledge and skills as part of a team that uses empirical methods and lived experience to help us fulfill our company mission.

The salary range for this position is $40-45k, dependent on experience.

The knowledge, skills and experience we are looking for at BSRI:

Social science or public health bachelor's degree with 2+ years of academic and/or work experience related to the field of evaluation via social science and/or public health
Experience with SPSS / NVivo / Excel software or datasets
Organized with high standards for your work
Prior knowledge or research experience in at least one area of community change (e.g., health equity, housing and economic development, early childhood development, workforce development, systems change, racial equity, or community capacity building). Evaluation capacity building experience is highly desirable.
Experience in data visualization and data communication to diverse audiences
Proficiency in both qualitative and quantitative analysis methods and software (mixed methods)
While a Research Associate is expected to contribute in many ways to the projects within the company, typical responsibilities include the following:

Participate in team-based collaborative efforts
Enter data required for grants or evaluation projects
Manage large and/or complex project datasets
Data cleaning, Merging and cross referencing
Collect and conduct brief descriptive data analysis
Maintain accurate records of data, safeguarding confidentiality as necessary
Summarize qualitative and quantitative data
Familiarity with IRB (understand the process and protocols)
Request or acquire equipment or supplies necessary for the project
Manage and respond to project related emails and project management software alerts
Attend project meetings
Attend area seminars and other related trainings as necessary
Summarize project results
Prepare progress reports for supervisors
Participate in company marketing efforts
Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned by other team members.
