Overview

This position will be responsible for assisting in the overall gathering, validating, tracking, and analyzing Safety Data. Safety data studies and investigations will be done at the direction of SRC management.

Responsibilities

• Maintain ground safety data database (ensure data integrity)
• Validate ground data safety events (ensure data validity)
• Analyze ground data and develop detailed queries within Excel and incumbent software program
• Ensure software program(s) proper functionality
• Proactively identify positive and negative safety trends through targeted analysis
• Solicit and process safety improvement suggestions
• Assist in external and internal operational audits (IOSA, DoD, customer, etc.)
• Assist in developing and maintaining safety awareness throughout Company
• Write reports based on empirical safety data
• Create presentations of current and past safety data trends and present these to a wide variety of audiences
• Assist in development and deployment of internal newsletters
• Provide timely advice and assistance on Company safety matters
• Conduct industry safety data comparisons - provide benchmarking and instituting best practices
• Attend industry safety conference(s)
• Perform other duties as assigned
  
  
  Qualifications
  
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent relevant experience; preferably aviation or mathematics focused
  • 2 - 4 years of relevant work experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel); advanced experience in Excel preferred
  • Tableau and Veoci experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Part 121 airline procedures
  • Must be self-starter, able to work with little supervision in fast paced environment
  • Minimal travel will be required, must be able to travel without restrictions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required
