Job Description:
BASIC PURPOSE: Assist Senior Manager Video Creative in editing
and versioning all video content for RSSC that is used across
multiple platforms and channels. Manage and maintain a video
library will be a key element to making this role successful.
Provide editing skills and working to help establish a video style
and story that aligns with the brand is also critical.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage and catalogue all video assets, data, and content.
Create and catalogue a library of destination footage from owned
and stock libraries.
- Provide in-house editing to enable the business to create more
content without increasing budget to the level of agency.
- Coordinate video assets for international teams as needed,
having regular calls with the teams to ensure best cross team
alignment.
- Innovate our creative look, feel, and style, staying on top of
current trends.
- Conceptualize and create storyboards with department head to
align to brand needs and goals.
- Innovate on how we create and edit videos to keep us ahead of
our competitors and engage more audiences.
- Shoot trade and corporate videos in-house in an effort to save
both time and money from using outside resources as requested.
- Assemble raw footage and transfer or upload to a computer or
storage system.
- Help to implement a brand new, organized video cloud storage
system for global use and create b-roll clips for media usage.
- Improve and correct lighting, color, and faulty footage.
- Work closely with management to present a final product that
matches the vision while maintaining brand messaging and
consistency.
- Manage asset creation and edits with several outside vendors
serving not just marketing but on board, operations, security, and
marine operations.
- Work with onboard entertainment to improve the quality of daily
video messaging content created onboard by providing new templates
and guidelines for a better guest facing product.
- Determine what footage is and will be relevant to the new
version of the website redesign and how best to implement.
- Proactive in staying current on brand changes. Execute changes
to video playlist as brand changes occur accordingly.
- Perform other job-related functions as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
EDUCATION: Bachelors Degree in Film, Design or related fields of
study; or any equivalent combination of education and work
experience.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum 3 years experience as a Video Editor. 2+ years
of experience in Video Productions and/or Photography.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
- Strong attention to detail. Ability to multi-task and meet
deadlines.
- Proactive, self-sufficient, with strong time management
skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills. Able to work and collaborate well
within a team environment.
- Strong creative skills.
- Strong proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe
Premiere, Final Cut Pro, and/or Davinci Resolve.
- Knowledge of, and ability to edit videos for multiple aspect
ratios and formats (i.e., 720p, 1080p, 4k, 1:1, 16:9, etc.).
- Proficient in color correction and some audio correction for
video projects.
- Experience using a wide variety of cameras and their lenses,
including DLSR and Mirrorless camera.
- Experience with Content Management systems as well as Creative
Asset Management systems.
