This individual will be responsible for develop and manage the warehouse operations by determining the processes and requirements of handling and storage the product; receiving and distribution of the product, and the inventory of the product. Supervise warehouse employees, understand and implement the company's policies and safety procedures, enforce them among employees. Maintain constant communication with managers, employees, other company departments, suppliers and transportation companies.Job Summary:In this role the individual will be responsible for managing inventory which includes inventory and cycle counts. Supervises warehouse employees, understands and implement the company's policies, safety procedures, and enforces them among employees. Maintains constant communication with other operations managers, employees, other company departments, suppliers and transportation companies.Essential Responsibilities:Keeps control inventory levels by daily physical cycle counts and semi-annual physical inventories; reconcile with current inventory management system.Works with staff to consolidate and forecast warehouse space.Prepare reports and statistics on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.Ensures order accuracy and on-time delivery goals are met daily.Responsible for the transactional activities of the warehouse by preparing inventory documentation: this involves accurately recording type, quantity, quality, and other features of inventory for a clear understanding of the state of the stocks.Maintain and enforce operational, safety, and personnel policies and procedures.Maintains standards of any health and safety policies and procedures in place.Maintains constant communication in-person, by email and/or phone with warehouse employees, operations manager, human resources, other company departments, customers, suppliers, and transportation companies.Ensures team members understand their duties and responsibilities and oversee that employees perform their job as requested and in a timely manner.Enforces the OSHA/DOT safety regulations for the business.Monitors warehouse employees' performance and progress including new employees' job performance on 30, 60 and 90 days and monthly incentives program.Manages employees' hours efficiently by keeping the necessary overtime to minimum, manages employees' times off and attendance and sets employees schedule.Motivates, organizes and encourages teamwork within warehouse employees to ensure productivity targets are met or exceed.Ensures employees wear the adequate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.Oversees maintenance of warehouse and office equipment: forklift, computers, printers, and other.Develops warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage, and shipping requirements. Plan future capacity requirements.Recommends improvement to procedure standards.Conducts daily and weekly meetings with the department to review issues and requirements.Assists any other departments and performs any other duties as requested.Competencies:Ability to effectively manage and supervise employees.Analytical and data recording skillsStrong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skillsStrong comprehensive knowledge of warehouse operation functions and inventory practicesMinimum Requirements:Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) from a four-year college or university and at least 5 years of applicable experience; or equivalent combination of education and experienceKnowledge of Warehouse Management System (WMS) and RF Scanner, Must be fluent in Microsoft Dynamics GP.Must be able to operate a motorized machineryMust be able to operate a forkliftOrganizing, planning, and multi-tasking skills requiredComprehensive working knowledge of all Microsoft office product, including MS word, Outlook, and advance proficiency on MS Excel.
