Job Description:
Researches and analyzes improvement opportunities, conducts
analysis, prepares recommendations and facilitates efficiency
enhancements. Develops business requirement documents and
specifications. Works as directed by management team to research
and document business issues involving workflow procedures and
processes. Analyzes data and work with management to develop
creative solutions.RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Owns the application life cycle from implementation through
improvement, testing, planning and optimization to improve the
business operations, using skills like LEAN and ITIL.
- Establish and maintain the baseline for application performance
and availability. Responsible for defining the system goals and
KPIs and define how they are measured. Responsible for sharing that
information with the business and associate them to business
metrics to drive business improvement.
- Gather and maintain detailed end to end documentation of both
IT and Operational process flows.
- Responsible for managing the support organization and working
as the escalation point for support issues while ensuring SLAs are
met.
- Responsible for all documentation about the application
including overall purpose, infrastructure and test plans according
to regional standards.
- Responsible for data flow diagrams (down to each port used and
order of application logic) that can be used with Network
Architecture Team to provide a detailed drawing of exact end to end
communication for all software services or processes.
- Providing specialist knowledge for their application to all
stakeholders
- Change owner for all changes that involve the application,
including underlying infrastructure changes to ensure the changes
are reviewed, signed-off, implemented and validated via the Change
Advisory Board
- Providing input in design and functional specifications
- Producing deliverables related to the project(s) assigned and
assisting in post implementation support
- Partnering with business liaisons and technical teams to
understand and define system goals, issues and technical system
requirements
- Partnering with designers and development team so system
functionality is built to a high quality ensuring the production
environment meets the customer and IT Manager's demand.
- Maintain a UAT and/or TEST environment with high quality so UAT
testing can be done in an isolated manner.
- Responsible for application upgrades, including hardware,
software or operating systems, interfaces, performance tuning,
analyzing data and trends via APMT monitoring tools.
- Responsible for working with operations to define and execute
improvement projects including setting budgets and revising M&S
contracts with vendors.
- Perform business service reviews with terminal operations and
stakeholders at least monthly.
- Instruct and support vendors to follow APMT best practices for
patching, server access, change process, and provide guidance on
Cyber Security with the support of Global Cyber Security.
- Responsible for exploring and enhancing automated tested for
the applications where possibleACCOUNTABLE FOR:
- Monitoring and managing the terminal's technology roadmap
- Delivering meaningful KPI data to the business
- Compliance with EA and Cyber Security standards
- Upkeep of all Terminal process mappingsQUALIFICATIONS:
- Extensive relationship management experience and the ability to
create and maintain a strong internal network across myriad levels
and disciplines
- Strong terminal operations background
- Experience providing effective application management
- Sound financial planning and analysis experience (TCO,
costs/budget management, etc.)
- Experience working in a matrix organizational model
- Ability to think creatively, strategically, and
technically
- Ability to present and communicate ideas to all levels of the
business and across multiple departments
- 3-5 years in the ports and terminals industry, supply chain &
commercial experience preferred for other industries.
- ITIL Foundation
- Nice to have: a second language in Spanish or PortugueseAbout
