SUMMARYThe Jr. Credit analyst assists the SVP Credit Manager with
all aspects of the underwriting process by performing the following
duties:Prepares, manages and controls in conjunction with the
Commercial Officers the credit application process (propuesta) with
all aspects, for the Credit clients, to be presented to our local
Credit Committee and if necessary to be submitted to our Head
Office for approval.DUTIES OF THE POSITIONThe duties of the
position include, but are not limited to, the following:Prepare
credit proposals with respective analysis of financial standing for
every credit customer requested, to be presented to local and/or
head office credit committeeMaintain (electronic and physical)
credit and legal files updated with any pertinent informationInput
of pertinent information after local approval (if necessary) into
our systemOpen, delete and renew credit lines into our core
processing systemOngoing review of the credit files to ensure
creditworthinessObtain financial information from clientsMonitor on
an ongoing basis the financial status of our credit
customersMonitor on an ongoing basis the covenants of our credit
customersAssure that we have translations in English of all credit
proposalsMaintain Relationship Managers aware of renewals and
maturitiesSpecial ProjectsOTHER RESPONSIBILITIESMust have regular
and predictable attendance and work the hours and/or shifts
assigned, particularly during regular business hours, to
communicate with colleagues, supervisors, and customers with whom
interaction is required to accomplish and complete work assignments
and meet company goals within established deadlinesMust maintain
courteous, professional and effective internal and external working
relationshipsMust provide timely and appropriate responses to
requests for information and/or customer complaints or concerns and
provide appropriate follow up to ensure issues are resolvedMust
receive and provide clear, constructive feedback in a cooperative
and professional mannerWorking overtime and/or on weekends may
occasionally be requiredMust have the ability to understand, speak,
read and write in English and Spanish.COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIESIn
the performance of their duties, all Bci - Miami Branch staff
members are required to comply all state and federal regulatory and
legal requirements, including the Bank Secrecy Act, the Federal
Election Campaign Act of 1979, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act,
and the Bank Bribery Amendments Act. Additionally, all staff
members must comply with in the Bci's Personnel Manual and Code of
Ethics and other policies of Bci which are either, currently in
place or which may become effective during the staff member's
employment.PRE-HIRE REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION:COMPUTER:Ability
to operate IBM compatible personal computers; proficiency with
Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint and other
software needed to perform the functions of the
position.EDUCATION:Bachelor's degree in Business Administration,
Finance, Accounting or related fieldEXPERIENCE:Minimum two years of
financial analysis experience
