Job Description:
BJ's Wholesale Club, a premier provider in the membership-only
warehouse retail sector, is seeking a seasoned General Manager to
oversee operations at our vibrant retail locations. The successful
candidate will be instrumental in maintaining our ethos of
providing high-quality products at low prices, enhancing
operational efficiency, and leading our dedicated team towards
exceeding sales targets. This role demands a dynamic leader skilled
in managing expansive retail operations and committed to upholding
the values that BJ's stands for in serving our vast customer base.
Oversee daily store operations and ensure compliance with all
company policies and procedures. Lead and inspire a large team to
achieve and exceed sales and profitability targets. Monitor
inventory levels and supply chain operations to optimize stock
management and minimize losses. Implement strategic plans to drive
store growth, enhance customer satisfaction, and maintain
competitive advantage. Develop and maintain strong vendor relations
to secure the best terms and products. Ensure the store's visual
merchandising standards are consistently met to enhance the
shopping experience. Analyze market trends and customer needs to
adapt strategies as necessary. Prepare detailed reports on store
performance, budgets, and the achievement of goals to senior
management. Strong leadership and workforce management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency in
retail management software and CRM systems In-depth knowledge of
retail operations including inventory, sales, and customer service
management Analytical skills with a strategic mindset Medical
Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Certification in
Retail Management (preferred) Project Management Professional (PMP)
certification (an advantage)
