Job DescriptionSUMMARY
Directs and coordinates activities pertaining to inbound and
outbound flight loads, scheduling, dispatch of charters.ESSENTIAL
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the
following:• Coordinate loads southbound & northbound for
compatibility fit.• Tally by destination cargo evening prior to
flight scheduling.• Notify the flight group of projected and
confirmed schedule with updates to be sent throughout the day.•
Notify Omni throughout the night on flight updates.• Coordinate
bookings with the stations.• Coordinate loads on the 767 that are
to be sent to the respective stations on the route• Coordinate
cargo handling on all charters• Audit custom paperwork for charters
to be sure paperwork was done correctly• Arrange customs
preparation and release of documents for stops routed international
origin or as a destination in line with Customs release• Print
inventories by flight to validate loads from hub meet the
instructions on priority shipments.• Review flight loads to be sure
maximum utilization is achieved• Update reports as assigned by
management• Monitor all NOTAMS for runway closings in line with
scheduling of flights as notified by dispatch and or the stations.•
Notify dispatch/crew scheduling on handling info for a charter •
Update daily turnovers with details of departures and explanation
when delay experienced.• Evaluate loads charter/schedule service
for fit on an aircraft along with liaise with load masters for
consult.• Upgrade hot shipments.• Upgrade priority system once
flight is closed to reschedule pending shipments bumped from a
flight.• Coordinate all crew calls hub/ramp/dispatch/crew
scheduling.• AOG's island coordinates safe hold of perishable,
Pharmaceuticals and live animals on board a flight. • Notify all
stations and hub on flight delays and AOG'S• Set up alternate
accommodations with the relevant stations to store perishable cargo
or live animal hold instructions• Work with dispatch hand
maintenance & station on alternate option to rescue an aircraft.•
Update flight profitability data base.• Secure weights per stop
ahead of departures for fuel benefit.• Support load master on
loading of the aircraft to include qualifying of cargo movement to
the ramp in line with expectation to call out the crew. •
Cross-Utilize & be trained to work Customer Service, RFS & flight
coordinator coverage • Build spreadsheets reports of flight stats
upon management request• Responsible for the center of all
operations to lead the rest of the operation relating to flight
routes, customs paperwork, load density, fit of loads on aircraft
which includes working with sales to size fit on plane and or
making sure loads getting off at a given stop will accommodate the
NB load.• MVT each stop for Customer Yazaki which includes SAL AND
MGA cargo on all southbound & northbound shipments.• Monitor with
all the swift movement of the flights having loads ready for the
arrival that translate to sending the load masters the load for a
flight at each stop• Fuel tinkering estimate on each stop to have
ready for dispatch in the interest of cost savings.• Involvement in
the New Fiscal Year budget expenses and outline the year A2
schedule to calculate route in fly distribution for the entire year
by month. • Flagged shipments work with the hub & flight
coordinator for the purpose of making sure those shipments
designated as a must ride is successfully achieved.• Position
entails accuracy in the data throughout the route specific to load
details, dispatch fuel tinkering payloads, imports for ACE
transmission, station notification of the load plan, hub
instructions on route and load needed, crew scheduling for crewing
schedule service and charters, sales support, ramp loads in and
out, Lodige load specifics with any exception key notes for all
operational groups. Work with RFS on special run cargo along with
the hub to capture the essence of the detail and flight
boarding.
QUALIFICATIONSEDUCATION CERTIFICATION:• Minimum of a high school
degree and/or 5 years in-depth knowledge in logistics, freight
forwarding or aviation, ideally within flight operations on flight
planning and charter process management. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:•
Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and
Outlook• Effective communication skills (verbal and written) in
English
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES & REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION:• The physical
demands of this job are representative of those described above
with an ability to react quickly to decisions and coordination of
multiple flight loads. • Must have flexibility to work all shifts
and schedules as demanded by the department needs.• This position
does not require much lifting as the norm, but one must be able to
occasionally lift approximately 30 lbs. TRAVELUp to
